Tego Announces MROHistorian for MRO Providers, Equipment Operators and OEMs

New Application Improves Lifecycle Visibility, MRO Efficiency for Mobile and Stationary Capital Assets

WALTHAM, MA. and ATLANTA, GA — APTA EXPO 2017 — October 9, 2017 – Tego, Inc., the leading provider of smart asset solutions delivering meaningful operational intelligence from any asset, anywhere, today announced availability of MROHistorian. Designed with a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) sensibility, MROHistorian provides maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) organizations, as well as asset owners/operators, with a localized data platform to augment their MRO operations and asset management processes.

The solution, built on the company’s award-winning Asset Intelligence Platform, enables maintenance personnel to store and retrieve critical data and documents directly upon capital assets by way of standard consumer mobile devices and commercial RF readers. With digitized information such as manufacturing details, part specifications, authenticity certificates, and progressive maintenance activity embedded onto assets themselves, technicians no longer have to guess or spend time hunting down handwritten part histories, sort for most recent test results, or locate an asset’s compliance status. Instead, information is digitized and stored, managed, and analyzed dynamically upon the asset, at the edge.

“At its heart, effective MRO is all about delivering the right information to the right place at the right time. If an asset that’s being maintained can actually dictate maintenance needs and instructions to employees, at the precise moment in time when maintenance needs to be carried out, the game simply changes,” said Timothy Butler, founder and CEO of Tego, Inc. “We make every asset smart enough to tell its story, whether it is a 30-year lifecycle story, a compliance story for a regulated product, or a maintenance story where immediate knowledge of current and historical context are paramount.”

When data is written directly onto capital assets and replaceable parts, owners, operators and maintenance contractors of equipment open themselves to benefits of sizable scope and breadth, including:

  • Reduce labor cost
  • Eliminate inefficiencies of paper-based processes
  • Significantly improve turnaround times
  • Reduce total lifecycle management costs
  • Optimize equipment utilization rates
  • Improve regulatory compliance
  • Enhance part authenticity and brand security

Tego MROHistorian represents a direct transference of the company’s heritage in the aerospace industry, where putting data on critical airplane parts and components has dramatically improved decision-making in the field, enhanced passenger safety, supported more accurate reporting, extended product lifecycles, and produced significant cost savings.

Tego will demonstrate the power of MROHistorian at APTA EXPO 2017, Booth 8105, co-located with TTA Systems.

Tego Announces Touchless Environmental Monitoring Solution for CGMP Manufacturers

Tego’s Asset Intelligence Approach Survives Gamma Sterilization, Reduces Risk of Contamination and Streamlines Compliance Processes for CGMP Pharmaceutical Facilities

WALTHAM, MA, April 13, 2017 – Tego, Inc., a leading provider of smart asset solutions to produce meaningful operational intelligence from any asset, anywhere, today announced availability of an automated, touchless, digital solution for environmental monitoring within FDA-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. The solution is built on the company’s award-winning Asset Intelligence Platform and leverages advances in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology to enable precise tracking and verification of contaminant exposure on product, material or equipment used during production of aseptic pharmaceuticals.

“Tego’s approach to progressive data on assets is gaining attention from pharmaceutical manufacturers because it helps minimize the potential for contamination and batch loss, and provides more complete traceability and visibility data as required by the FDA,” said Timothy Butler, founder and CEO of Tego, Inc. “Tego’s core platform turns otherwise inanimate things into living, breathing sources of critical business information, and it is exciting to see indispensable industries like pharmaceuticals recognize the value of putting dynamic data on their assets.”

Pharmaceutical manufacturers who perform aseptic processing are required to deliver meaningful information about the quality of the manufacturing environment during production. They must demonstrate to regulators that proper controls are in place, quickly discover problems or put themselves at risk of significant financial loss (one lost batch can cost $500,000 or more), and always have the right data at hand to support root cause analysis procedures.

When data gets stored directly on environmental monitoring components, processes become automated and touchless so that manufacturers greatly reduce the possibility of contamination, and limit the potential for costly wasted batches. Staff are able to receive digital validation about the status of monitoring componentry, and instantly update a component’s documentation as it changes across multiple prescribed points during CGMP manufacturing. All types of environmental monitoring – for airborne particulates, active viable air, passive viable air, surfaces, water, and personnel – benefit from this aseptic-proof, digital solution.

Tego’s digital environmental monitoring solution is a direct transference of the company’s heritage in the aerospace industry, where putting data on critical airplane parts and components has dramatically improved decision-making in the field, supported far more accurate reporting, extended products’ lifecycles, and produced significant cost savings.

CGMP manufacturers who want to explore how asset intelligence can both help with compliance to zero contaminant mandates, and eliminate burdensome post-sterilization labeling processes, can visit https://tegoinc.com/contact/ to set up a demo, or contact Tego at (781) 547-5680.

Honeywell Selects TegoView™ to Deploy Its Part Tagging Program

Tego’s software simplifies tagging and streamlines supply chain processes while assuring ATA Spec 2000 compliance

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

For more information, contact LaVerne Cerfolio, Director of Marketing at (781) 547-5680 x2009

(Waltham, MA – January 28th, 2013) Honeywell Aerospace, one of the largest parts suppliers to Airbus and Boeing, has selected TegoView? software to improve its supply chain processes and expedite its new RFID parts tagging program. Honeywell, working with systems integrator ID Integration, is rolling out its RFID tagging program across their aerospace organization. By using TegoView’s workflow, Honeywell is streamlining its parts tagging process and assuring data accuracy on RFID tags being attached to components through efficient dasu_tabase connectivity and defined templates that reduce user input errors.

Airframe manufacturers are requiring their suppliers of repairable, high value parts and systems to attach high memory RFID tags to these assets. This allows all participants in the supply chain to trace the progress of assets and access information stored on them throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to maintenance.

Tego, developer of high memory RFID chips, tags and software for creating smart assets, designed TegoView specifically to make tagging aircraft parts fast, easy and accurate. Pre-formatted templates guide workers through the process delivering 100% compliance with ATA Spec 2000, Chapter 9-5 and TDS 1.6 standards for tagging aircraft parts and systems.

“Aircraft components need to be easily traceable with full transparency throughout a product’s supply chain and lifecycle with the ability to verify their pedigree at all times, ” said Jim Evans, ISC UID/RFID Program Manager, Honeywell Aerospace. “After evaluating and testing TegoView’s ability to write and read RFID tags on parts, we are convinced we can meet the stringent requirements of our customers.”

“TegoView is being deployed across many Honeywell locations where we are setting up workstations that we can configure for desktop and mobile use, ” continued Evans. “One of our teams quickly learned the tagging process using defined templates and then walked the next group through the process. Pre?populated mobile and fixed readers with the same TegoView interface make tagging parts an extremely efficient operation. ”

“In an industry where thousands of airplanes each have millions of individual parts, airframe manufacturers and their suppliers need to manage and track an enormous inventory, ” said Timothy Butler, president and CEO of Tego, Inc. “This is where the automation and accuracy of TegoView for writing and reading RFID tags on parts is of the greatest value to our customers, not only for compliance but for improved supply chain processes.

“Some parts suppliers are learning the hard way that not all software is compliant, ” continued Butler. “Errors are appearing, rendering parts non-??compliant and endangering delivery of high value components.”

ID Integration president, Gary Moe, said, “We certainly enjoyed working with Honeywell and Tego to make this Spec 2000 RFID solution set a reality. Having worked with Honeywell for many years as their IUID systems integrator, we were able to leverage our knowledge of Honeywell’s operations and demanding standards to guide Tego through the rigorous testing and acceptance procedures. The end result is a Win-Win for all parties concerned. ”

Tego is an active member of the ATA standards committee and the primary architect of the Spec 2000 data container format. With workflow templates and built-in feedback, TegoView guarantees standards compliance and automates supply chain processes. In addition, airlines and MRO organizations can use TegoView to access accurate, current part information throughout its lifecycle from birth record to maintenance history.
